MRI diagnosis is significant narrowing of nerves in lumbar spinal. Had one epidural injection March 15 with no relief. I hurt significantly in knees. Increased pain in right knee caused me to go to orthepedic(sp) doctor, who said yes, you have osteoarthritis in knee but it is not horrendous and ordered the MRI to find out WHERE pain is actually coming from; not from knee, suspect from back, which MRI confirmed.
Hello and welcome to HCM, The pain in knee could be referred pain from compression of nerve in the back. Probably the compression is due to degenerative changes in spine. Surgical procedure may be required to relieve the compressive force.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
